Open Future Forum has launched the Private Equity Executive Forum, a new Silicon Valley community for the leaders of private equity. It joins the CEO, CFO, CMO, and CISO Executive Forums as the newest room in the network, and it is open now.
I built it for a simple reason. Across every other Open Future Forum room, the same people kept showing up at the edges of the conversation: the investors and operators behind the companies. Private equity sits at the center of how businesses are bought, built, and sold, and the people doing that work rarely have a room of their own where they can speak candidly with peers. This is that room.
What the Forum Is
The Private Equity Executive Forum is an Open Future Forum community for senior private equity executives, operating partners, investment professionals, and selected leaders serving the private equity ecosystem. It convenes them for small, off-the-record dinners and gatherings across Silicon Valley.
It runs on the same principle as every Open Future Forum room: everyone in the room is a giver. There is no pitch, no agenda, no recording. The conversations are the ones private equity leaders can only have off the record, with peers who carry the same mandate.
Who It's For
The forum is built for the people who make the private equity engine run, and the leaders who serve them. That includes partners, principals, and managing directors at private equity firms; operating partners and portfolio operators; investment professionals and deal-team leaders; and selected advisors, lenders, LPs, and service leaders across the ecosystem.
The informal selection criterion is the same one we apply everywhere: does this person give more than they take? Members are identified by how they show up long before an invitation is extended.
Why This Room, Now
Private equity is working through one of the harder stretches in a decade: a higher cost of capital, longer hold periods, a slower exit environment, and limited partners asking sharper questions about value creation. At the same time, AI is reshaping the actual work, from diligence and deal sourcing to portfolio operations and the value-creation plan itself.
The most useful intelligence on what is actually working does not come from a conference stage or a vendor deck. It comes from peers who are making the same calls, shared candidly and off the record. That is the entire premise of Open Future Forum, and it is exactly what the private equity seat has been missing.

How It Works
The private dinner is the heart of the forum: small rooms of 8 to 30 guests, off the record, across Silicon Valley and beyond. Around the dinners, members gather in the settings that build real trust over time: panel events on value creation and the state of the market, wine tastings, golf, sailing on the bay, private boxes at Giants games, and AI briefings tailored to the investment lifecycle.
Open Future Forum is a private executive community founded in Silicon Valley in 2019, and it runs two tiers: Forum Select, our invitation-only private gatherings, and Forum Events, our open panels and gatherings. The Private Equity Executive Forum sits inside that program.
